The Pursuit of Happiness

The Pursuit of Happiness

Last night, I watched a movie named “The Pursuit of Happiness”.

In the film, Chris, a father loved his son so deeply, did a wrong investment, which made his family into a bad economical situation. His wife could not bare it after a long time without any good change and chose to leave, though she loved her son as well.
Actually, Chris tried to reverse the conditions all the time. But sometimes, as we know, bad things came one after another. After wife’s leaving, Chris and his son were forced out of their house because of lacking rent. They had to move to the hotel and poorhouse afterwards.
During that time, Chris successfully got an internship in a stock company without salary. He must persevere as he obviously knew that once he would be the champion of 20 excellent applicants, he could have a position with a decent income. Then he could breed his beloved son better and offer him more good things. However, the key point was that the internship would last 6 months. He had to work out all the difficulties until the light of dawn fell.
He was cheated, insulted, jailed and even hit by a car. He just standed them silently. He exerted his best to merchandise his expensive but not very useful goods so that he could earn some bread. In order to make money, he had to take buses around the city with his son. Many times, he was so tired to sleep on the bus, embosoming his son tightly.
To my memory, Chris seldom complained. He knew he was the only support of his son and the final beam of hope to give his son a bright future. If he was broke, his son, a cute angel today, might be a damned demon tomorrow. Hence, he must continue.
However, sometimes life could be so harsh that anyone could resist. One day, Chris did not get a free bed in the poorhouse so he had to wander around the city, taking along with his son. His heart was so cold, just as the night. Finally he found a water closet to hide in. He locked the door and embraced his sleeping son sitting on the floor. Suddenly, the door was knocked and then hit. Chris’ self-respect and confidence went to pieces with the hits. He was too helpless to do anything, only hugging his son more tightly. One leg extended to the floor as if jamming it, but it looked so desperate.
He cried. Yes, he cried without any sound. Tears slipped down his cheek slowly, like a knife lacerating his face. Oh, a man’s tears. He was also weak and needed help whereas nothing good came to him. It seemed the whole world discarded him that no one cared his feelings.
Fortunately, son accompanied him yet. That was the big reason to struggle. He could not yield to. His life was not only for him, but even more for his son. He must perk and fight.
As we expect, there is a happy ending that Chris became the final winner. I still remember his inaction when accepted by the company. He even did not know how to express his great happiness at that very moment.
Chris is deserved.

We all run after happiness. But what is the real and exact one? Everybody has his own Hamlet. To me, it is to smile to sleep in the night and to smile to wake up in the morning.

What about yours?

Hey, don't worry about your engligh. It is very good.

I remember watching Pursuit of Happyness in theaters. It was a very good movie. Even though it had a happy ending, I still sulked for a while because I know there are people that are really going through his situation but have no way to get out.

Yes, it is.
However, we must be fortitudinous to face the difficulties. There is always a happy life waiting for us, isn't there?
The key point is that we cannot yield to, just as Chris does.

It also reminds me another article that teaches people to be strong, whose name is CHOICE.
If you don't read it, I sincerely recommend you to read. It is really helpful, especially for those in trouble.
